Crime statistics revealed that there was an estimated number of 830 thousand (just correct this to 830 000) house break-ins reported in 2018.

This number increased by 4,25% from 2017 making it the most dominant crime category in South-Africa affecting more than a tenth of all South-African households. Home robberies are up by 3% accumulating to just over 156 thousand reported in 2018, affecting 0,8 of households in South-Africa.

With this number on the rise and no future indication of declining homeowners forced to install added security measures in an attempt to keep their families safe.
